Attorney at Law

Daniel J. Wilcox leverages outstanding rhetorical and analytical skills to craft and deploy narratives and arguments that sway judges and juries in his clients’ favor. Combining a relentless drive to understand his client’s situations with an insider’s view of the court system, Mr. Wilcox provides his clients a unique advantage both in the courtroom and at the negotiation table.

Prior to joining Droel, PLLC, Mr. Wilcox served as a staff attorney in a large state district court in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area, where he drafted countless judicial opinions and participated daily in the judicial decision-making processes.

Mr. Wilcox has experience in complex civil litigation in several state and federal courts and has also worked in state agencies and political parties, providing invaluable insight into processes adjacent to and overlapping with the court system. Mr. Wilcox currently focuses on the litigation of contracts, business torts, and matters ancillary to renewable energy and construction enterprises.

In law school, Mr. Wilcox served as Senior Notes Editor on the school’s environmental law journal, taught legal writing, and mentored first-year students as a Dean’s Fellow.

When not tenaciously advocating for his clients, Mr. Wilcox enjoys playing chess, practicing yoga, and spending quality time with his seven nieces and nephews.
